Saturday saw the wedding of the lovely Candice & Ian at White Dove Barns near Beccles, a surprisingly mild day in December which was really welcomed by us all. I met with them in the morning and after getting to know the family more I knew I was in for a great day surrounded by these lovely people. The ceremony quickly came around and Candice and her two daughters Saskia and Rae looked beautiful whilst making finishing touches before it was time to leave. At the end of the aisle, Ian looked super sharp in his suit and their son Isaac who had the role of the ‘Best Buddy’ looked very handsome. Emotions were high throughout the ceremony as I could see a few people shedding a tear or two as Candice walked down the aisle to the sound of one of Saskia’s very talented friends beautiful singing! After the I do’s, the exchange of the rings, and the first kiss, the couple walked out as Mr & Mrs Steward. The weather was certainly on our side Saturday as we managed to get the group shots, confetti, and some more relaxed photos done all before the heavens opened at around 3pm. After a winter warmer of a meal, we had some really lovely speeches from both Candice and Ian, and then some funnier ones from the father of the bride and the best man both sharing some hilarious stories of the couples past. As the band set up, we went outside for some photos in the rain and a sparkler shot. White dove barn has a “cigar hut” which was covered in festoon lighting so it made a very pretty shelter from the rain! The first dance arrived and to everyone’s surprise had also been beautifully choreographed. Half way through the song Rae and Isaac, and Saskia and her partner all joined them and started slow dancing too. It really was something special.
