ANNEKA & MICHELLE- TUDDENHAM MILL WEDDING- NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Yesterday I went to Tuddenham Mill for Anneka & Michelle’s wedding day! It was a lovely warm April day and a lovely peaceful setting at the Mill. I’ve seen Anneka and Michelle quite a few times since they booked me for some family photo shoots with their beautiful son Jesse and I’ve got to know them really well. Unfortunately in February Jesse became very poorly and their lives have been turned upside down since then. They are incredibly strong people with the biggest hearts and seeing them with all of their loved ones yesterday really confirmed to me how special these two are. They have the best relationship not only within their little family but with everyone in their lives and it was clear to see just how loved they were.
The girls enjoyed a relaxing morning at Tuddenham Mill getting ready and finishing of final preparations. Michelle’s brother had taken over wedding planning since they had been in the hospital and he really did an excellent job. He made sure that if it was the last thing he did, Anneka & Michelle would have the most perfect day. Jesse got ready at the hospital with his favourite nurses who had sent updates through all morning including photos of Jesse in his little suit. Once little man arrived and Anneka & Michelle were in their dresses and looking beautiful, we all made our way to the ceremony. Jesse made his mummies proud and safely delivered their wedding rings to them, and as you can see below he made sure he did it in style! The vows the girls made and the readings from Anneka’s father and Michelle’s brother were beautiful, and before we knew it they were married! After the Ceremony, they walked straight out into a confetti line that the Toastmaster had put together and it was lots of smiles and cheers from there on.
Jesse went off with his team for a little break so he could recharge and join everyone again for the speeches. In this time there was plenty of champagne, selfies, and some family photos outside by the stream. I went upstairs to photograph the room set up for the meal and it looked lovely. Anneka & Michelle based their tables names and centerpieces around Jesse and linked them in with all of his Beads Of Courage which you can see hanging from the wooden beams in the ceremony image. These are all little beads that Jesse gets given for every medical procedure he has been through so they are so important to the girls to look back on and see how far he has come and how strong he has been.
It was soon time for everyone to be seated and for the speeches to begin. Anneka’s father, Michelle’s brother, best friend Hayley and the brides themselves all did individual speeches and they were all so amazing. Lots of smiles laughs and a whole lot of tears too as everything said had come from the heart and you could see how much it meant to everyone to all be there together. I always love listening to speeches, and I sometimes need to remind myself I’m there to take photos.
After lots of cuddles and a dance with his mummies, it was time for Jesse to head back to the hospital and get some rest. Although this must of been so hard for Anneka and Michelle, after seeing what safe hands he was in all day it was reassuring to know how well looked after he was going to be on the way home and then back at Norfolk and Norwich hospital. So it was time for them to head back onto the dancefloor with their crazy guests for some crazy dancing all night long. I had such a great time with everyone yesterday and it was so lovely to be made to feel so welcome. I hope you love the highlights from their special day!
