THE GREAT BARN AT HALES HALL- ROBYN & ROBERT- NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
This Saturday I was back at the stunning Great Barn at Hales Hall, and what a day it was! I’ve been excited about this wedding ever since these guys booked and with meeting them for their pre-wedding shoot earlier on in the year and hearing their plans I knew Tom and I (from Browns Films) were in for an excellent day.
The weather forecasted for Saturday wasn’t great. So there was me thinking of backup options for group photos and indoor couple shots. Little did I know was that Robyn had followed tradition and buried a sausage the day before.Seems like a crazy thing to do but I 100% believe this was the reason behind the blue skies and sunshine.
Tom and I arrived with the girls who were getting ready at Hales Hall in the morning. We settled into the sound of the giggles, the music, and prosecco bottles opening. We went upstairs to photograph Robyn’s dress which was absolutely stunning. The most elegant wedding dress with a lace detailed back paired up with an incredible veil. The couple exchanged gifts and cards and the morning quickly passed us and it was time for Robyn to meet her dad and make her way to The Great Barn for the ceremony. There were many happy tears and tight hugs with some from the gorgeous bridesmaids too!
The bridal party walked down the aisle whilst the very talented Jazmine Honey Banks sang. The Ceremony was beautiful. So many personal touches, including some lovely readings from Robyns Grandad and Robs sister. Before we knew it the register was signed and they were now Mr & Mrs Moore! The happy couple made their way out of the barn and we began to organise a confetti line for them to walk through straight away. Which the children loved!
After some mingling, a few glasses of bubbly and a couple of formal photographs, Robyn & Robert made their way into the barns “snug” room whilst their guests were seated ready for the couple to be announced in. They walked into loud cheers from their guests and walked straight over to cut the cake. After a very tasty three course meal, it was time for some speeches. Robyns Dad started things off with an excellent speech. The perfect balance of hilariously funny including those sweet moments too. Rob’s turn next who was so lovely about his new wife, yet equally as lovely about his best men with the hope they would be extra kind about him during their speech, which they kind of were!
As the sun started to set we made our way around the gardens seeking out all the perfect spots for photos. Hip flasks and all! Whilst giving Tom and I a chance to see how happy they are together. I don’t think I’ve got one photo where they’re not smiling or laughing, and Hales Hall just makes a perfect backdrop. Finally, the evening continued with dancing, drinking, hog roasts and ice cream. What more could you want! Lovely weather for a lovely venue, and most of all, a perfect wedding for such a perfect couple. So please enjoy some of my favourite moments!
